Description
When we did our first cider pressing demonstration at Onslow Park Steam Fair in 2006, a lady asked if I ever got stung by the wasps. No I said, they seem to leave me alone! Within minutes, a wasp stung me on the hand. In pain, I felt a strong urge to call it a name. The assembled crowd were nice sorts and for some reason I muttered ‘Wicked Wasp’. At the time, I was wondering what to call my latest cider – Wicked Wasp it became!
Rosie’s Wicked Wasp won ‘Cider of the Festival’ at Rochford, Essex in 2007 – another great result, but this was surpassed in 2010 when Wicked Wasp won the Welsh Championships.
